Richard spent over 20 years in the farming industry before joining his father in the metal building business in 1999. Richard bought the business in 2001 and has guided the company from its small beginnings to its present position as a leading contractor in the local area. He is actively involved in the daily decisions of the company and especially focuses on sales and customer relations.

Tom is the primary designer and estimator for the sales team. He has a B.S. in 'Visual Communications' – CAD Drafting / Design from Millersville University. For 20 years he has worked in various positions in the construction industry and has experience in commercial work, project management, residential work, and remodeling.

Merlin worked in residential and commercial construction as a new construction / remodel contractor for approximately 15 years before coming to Hoover Building Specialists in 2002. His 22 years of experiences include all phases of carpentry, drafting, estimating and project management.

Ken has been in construction since 1985 and has a broad range of experience including residential framing and trim carpentry. Since coming to Hoover Building Specialists, he has managed numerous, complex, turn-key projects.

Nelson provides information and pricing for prospective customers. After a contract is signed, he continues to keep in touch with the customer during the construction process and addresses any questions that may arise. He has 7+ years experience in sales and customer service. His exposure to the construction industry goes back to his childhood when his father and grandfather worked in construction.
Brendon Weaver, Accountant & Draftsman

Brendon oversees the bookkeeping for the company. He is also the primary CAD operator and contributes CAD drawings to the sales and design team. He has 10+ years experience in bookkeeping and has completed several AutoCAD classes at HACC.

Harold graduated from Millersville University in 1988 with a B.S. in Industrial Technology. His 18 years of construction experiences include sales, drafting, estimating and project management.
Doug Hoover, Field Superintendent

Doug is the third generation of the Hoover family to be involved in the business. He has been working for Hoover Building Specialists since he was 16 years old and has experience in most phases of construction. He has been a field superintendent since 2008.
